The art of seeing beyond
I create drawings using loose graphite and graphite pencils, alongside loose painting pigments. These visual explorations serve as a springboard for poetry and new ideas in writing. My process involves scrying, gazing at a monotone surface to uncover what lies within, bringing these hidden visions to life through a lot of overlapping lines and tones, as well as a lot of subtraction (erasing); I feel I dig out the work.
This method reveals deeper subconscious processes, where forms often intertwine, sharing parts fluidly, and growing organically into one another. Through scrying, the mind's eye awakens by these artistic efforts, sharpening intuitive awareness. This allows the mind to become a conduit for a visionary, Creative Means; that is "something else," I do hear intuitively.
A visionary appeal
This portfolio is a visionary appeal, presented through very childlike, experimental drawings, as well as channeled talks and poetry. Each piece is a testament to the intuitive journey, inviting viewers to connect with the raw, unfiltered expressions of the subconscious. These works embody a spirit of discovery, much like the very essence of The Intuitive Artist's Workshop.
Day 1: 8 x 8 image, graphite on poster board.
(Above) There are an infinite number of ways this drawing could go, but so far I am seeing a person watching what seems to be the uncovering of something very architectural. I do not spend much time pushing the graphite around on the chosen surface - just until I start seeing something that makes sense (or is where I am intuitively drawn to work with my pencil). The setting of what is evolving is "upon the moon." How many characters do you see?
There is a man's head in the lower left-hand corner of the drawing - I hope you can appreciate that face. It helps you see the space they occupy, which will be uncovered soon - it has been very hot outside lately, and the space I have to work with loose media is not air-conditioned. It is 95 degrees outside today (Tuesday, 6/16/26; it is shorts-weather here.

Webador, the platform I am currently using, is not as user-friendly as Weebly, which is my preference, but it is expensive. I have added an older drawing to this page today. <~~~ It happened in the late summer of 2020. This is a good example of what happens when I relax and start gazing at a monotone surface - I see characters that overlap and are dependent on each other (through line). The central, very strange face seems to be engulfed by the tinier figures. There is also another, larger face as well in the upper left-hand corner, which can't be appreciated here very well. I will try to fix this, but for now it is an example of how the mind's awakened subconscious can project through focused concentration. This is my art. There are little stories that I felt were surfacing about myself that are echoed in the forms they took (at the core my art surfaces through line and shadow inter-releationships)- and I learned that not everything arrives aesthetically beautiful.
I spoke to a neurologist once about how I see into monotone surfaces, simply following lines and etching what is there into the surface, and he told me right there and then that what I see is not real, which I was shocked by at first, but with more reflection, I do see what he means. The subconscious mind speaks through symbol - maybe I watched one too many scary shows as a child? I can only read my work as an abstraction - the mind cultivating itself indirectly through artistic expression. Again, the mind is multidimensional.

Inspired by the divine
There is an overwhelming pull to create art in my life. I am inspired by the Presence of the Holy Spirit, and through devotion, I create visual images or writings that are artistic. The particular process of scrying allows the mind to hear beyond itself intuitively, granting enlightenment to see what is hidden in the paper. Any monotone surface suffices to complete a scried look at something, making every surface a potential canvas for personal spiritual insight.
