I do this procedure within a meditation sitting pose - back straight, hands relaxed upward on the thighs.
Once First-Focused devotionally, the Spiritual Eye explodes with imagery. How it has always been experienced or perceived by myself is the formation of letters, words, phrases, and then sentences. These are simply watched and respected. I don't even try to read it. It is my subconscious and Higher Mind working together, projecting through language and symbol what is absolutely incredible! Who I am perceived as being is the Watcher of Self, Center Mass, or One. Paradoxically, "naming things" is unnecessary - it just is.
My mind has always functioned in this way; I recall relaxing as a child and seeing letters speeding across the inner eye, speaking to me from beyond belief. Later in life it became more pronounced, presenting akin to a neon sign, but I didn't think much of it. I figured this is how we all see, but I realized that is not the case. Whatever it is like for you when you close your eyes and look upward, is a private, inner journey that is sacred. My descriptions are all I have to give you, so I will share that I "see words."
And even though I find the process of the quiet subconscious mind and Higher Self collaborating together to inform "me" very sweet (I am a middle child), I realize my part is simply kneeling penitently. As I look upward and through the letters, words, phrases, and sentences, there is the Presence of Forever - Yes, He Lives Within each of US.
