Real War Paint
I am currently giving my skin some much-needed attention and because of this, the mask I'm wearing is bright yellow. I recalled my aunt Linda calling women's makeup "war paint," as she smoothed on a complimentary lipstick shade. Makeup is fun, but a good skincare regimen is smart, helping to save some grief of problem or "complaining skin."
The reality is that most of us become busy and may be so tired that simply taking the time to wash the face before sleep might be something to adjust to doing regularly. Doing so helps to exfoliate and renew the surface layer of the skin, removing dirt particles and dead skin cells from the face. I try to apply a mask at least once a week, which does "help quality application" of "real war paint."
All artists paint "the world they are connected to," which here takes form via "some invisible war painting."
If only all wars were simply finished in paint that could be washed away!
